Gear and Pinion Standardization – Modification Instruction Sheet
The following gear/pinion in the enclosed box has been standardized by design. The Pinion shank length, spline type or
ring gear diameter may be different from the originally installed gear set in the axle. In some cases there may be a slight
variation in final drive ratio. This gear set features involute splines for increased torque capacity, and a large self-locking
pinion nut for better clamp load retention. There may be other parts in this kit that are necessary to complete the gear set
installation.
The chart below explains the changes necessary by the model you are working on. Modifications apply to all gearing
types (Single Reduction & 2-Speed) unless otherwise noted.
